Careers Support Summary
Y7
Students are introduced to higher education routes by visiting Sheffield universities.
Y8
Students are introduced to the career website START to create their online career profile.
Y9
The options process for Key Stage four form a large part of the Y9 curriculum, HEPP deliver group sessions to Y9 students. The career profile on START is developed further.
Y10
Detailed information given around the different post 16 routes, 6th form, college and apprenticeships, students attend sessions ran by HEPP.
Y11
6th Form, College and apprenticeships options are explored through Personal Development sessions along with their application to Sheffield Progress. All students receive an impartial careers interview with a qualified careers advisor from Sheffield Futures.
Throughout our Personal Development curriculum students address key skills that are important in our students futures such as Finance.
